Soprano Bella's Singing Waiters & Waitresses

Your Guests arrive for your special event-the staff from the venue are busily doing their jobs, the waiters are going around with trays of drinks and canapés and the 'Maitre D' / event manager is busily greeting the guests and making sure the staff are doing their jobs.

Except that this 'Maitre D' is really a leading West End or Broadway Musical Theatre performer from Singers in Disguise and they are playing their 'Disguise' role before they are going surprise your guests in a very musical manner. Only you know who they really are.

Then there is the dashing 'Waiter' helpfully topping up your guests drinks, dutifully fitting in with the other waiting staff. Little do your guests know that he is really a principal opera singer who works at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden or The Metropolitan Opera. Only you know who he really is

Then there's the 'Guest' who arrives a little late. They join their appointed table and sit with your guests , eating starter and main course and joining in with the conversation. But this 'Guest' is really a leading international concert artist who has performed all over the world. Only you know the truth.

After these 'Singers in Disguise' have been mixing with you and your guests for the past an hour, the 'Maitre D' makes an announcement that a very special member of staff is leaving the venue today to set up their own restaurant and how sad the venue will be to loose them. All the staff, have bought this person a goodbye gift an would like to introduce them to the guests to receive it.

This introduce the 3rd Singers in Disguise character. 'The Chef' who is returning to open her own restaurant in Italy with her Husband, where they are both from. Little do your guests know that this 'Chef' has played lead roles for Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber, has been a Principal International Concert Artist and has played lead roles in both Musicals and Opera .

Chef makes a bashful speech of thanks and decides she would like to say goodbye in a traditional Italian manner by singing a beautiful Italian aria in an even more beautiful and powerful operatic voice.

After her vocal display – Maitre D returns extremely angry with her and banishes her to the kitchen in disgrace. She is very embarrassed by Chef and decides to make a formal apology to you and your guests-by bursting into a hit Broadway Song with a smash hit voice!

Chef returns to the scene and with some witty argumentative dialogue they decide to sing a duet together. So impressed by their own performances , they decide to sing another duet-but their limelight is stolen by the planted  'Guest'-who launches into fantastic song right from the dining table, giving your guests a 3rd unexpected surprise!

This whole amazing scene results in the Guest joining The Chef and the Maitre D in a trio of fantastic songs -everything from Opera to Abba, Bee Gees to Rat Pack – all in one act!

Would you like to know how we change the story of the act when its a birthday celebration? Then read on!

Your guests have arrived at your birthday party. You are either at a venue with waiting staff or you have hired a small catering company to walk around with drinks and canapés . The 'Waiter' and 'Waitress' go about their business with your guests and then it comes to the point in the evening when everyone sings Happy Birthday.

The Singers in Disguise 'Waiter and Waitress' come out with the Birthday cake , carrying it toward you on a tray. But then , just as they walk close to you and Happy Birthday has nearly finished being sung by your guests- the Waiter trips on his own feet and “Splat” - the cake hits the floor, right in front of you!

You will love the reaction of your guests at this point- some laugh out loud, some gasp and others just don't know what to do! This is when the ' Waitress' pipes up and takes charge of the situation. She cleans up the cake and promises everyone she will order another cake to be delivered immediately. She crossly tells the 'Waiter' to apologise to everyone before she leaves the room.

The Waiter is very sorry for what he has done and decides the best way he can make it up to everyone is to apologise by....singing a beautiful song with a beautiful voice!

The act continues with the 'Waitress' and they perform a top notch and fun filled act, taking you and your guests on a Musical Roller Coater ride.

The birthday cake start can also be adapted into 'Colliding Waiter and Waitress' when there is no birthday occasion. This is a very popular option and alternative start to our act.
